Segaria Mountain

Benimeli is the closest town to the mountain. From Benimeli you can either hike or go by car to the top of Segaria Mountain, where you can catch sight of the following beautiful views of surrounding mountains and sea:
To the north: the Valencian Bay, Cullera Mountain, Gandia Harbour and la Marjal de Pego natural park.
To the east: Denia’s castle, Montgo Mountain natural park and, if the day is clear, you could also see Ibiza.
To the southwest: the mountains that mark the limits of the Girona River valley, which are surrounded by the small villages and orange groves.
To the west: The town of Pego and the mountains which form the valleys of “Ebo” and “La Gallinera”. Behind these mountains you can find the Sierra de Mariola natural park.
Other pathways will bring you to natural fountains with fresh water, like the Català or Ramon fountains, as well as to caves, such as Bolumini and Cova del Coloms, and also to remains of an old Muslim castle.

Barranc de l'Infern

It’s the ravine of the Girona River; the perfect place to hike (PR-v 147) and to climb, not only because of the views but also for its geological and architectonical interest. Along the ravine you can find many caves, such as la Cova del Rull and la Cova de Reinós, some of which have ancient cave paintings. [Foto:  www.arroscaldos.com ]

Montgó Natural Park

It’s a 750 metre high mountain with more than 600 plant species. The short distance footpath (PR-V 152) or the green route are signposted and their walking difficulties range from medium to low. Some of the caves, such as la Cueva del Agua (Water Cave) and the Camello (Camel) can be visited. [visitar web]

La Marjal de Pego-Oliva Natural Park

It’s an ancient marshland where there are still ponds of clean water that are permanently inundated with a broad extension of bamboo shoots, where a variety of bird species can be observed. [visitar web]

Marine Reserve of the Cape of San Antonio

It’s a valuable environmental zone that is a paradise for scuba diving. Besides observing and photographing the biological diversity (coral communities, seagrass meadows) you can submerge to the caves, such as to the Tallà Cave.

Beaches

You can enjoy more than 20 km of beaches at less than 30 minutes by car. The closest beach, Playa de les Devesas, Denia is 15 minutes away and it has 4.8 km of shoreline. 600 metres of the beach are reserved for wind and kite surfing since it is the ideal place for these sports.
